Samsung, on Monday, shared its updated security policy for 2025, detailing the maintenance of its extensive lineup of Galaxy smartphones launched over the past few years. According to the updated policy, some of the latest Galaxy smartphones will receive monthly security updates, while others will receive quarterly or biannual updates.
As per the policy, devices such as the latest Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S24 series are eligible for seven years of software updates. The company stated that the monthly, quarterly, and biannual security firmware updates will include patches for Android OS-related vulnerabilities as well as Samsung-specific security issues.
Additionally, the company will release app-specific security updates via the Galaxy Store or Google Play Store.
