Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S25 series of smartphones at its Galaxy Unpacked launch event, taking place in San Jose. As confirmed by the company, the Galaxy S25 series will ship with Android 15-based One UI 7 and will feature a new Galaxy AI experience. For those who wish to watch the live unveiling of Samsung’s upcoming flagships, the event will be live-streamed on Samsung’s official YouTube channel, starting at 11:30 PM IST.
What to expect from the first Galaxy Unpacked of 2025?
The highlight of Galaxy Unpacked 2025 will be the Galaxy S25 series, which is expected to include at least three models: Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. All three models are reportedly powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, with at least 12 GB of RAM. According to leaks, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be the second Samsung smartphone to feature up to 16 GB of RAM, following the Galaxy S21 Ultra.
In terms of design, the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Plus are likely to retain the design of their predecessors, while the Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to feature a more rounded design compared to the boxier look of the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
These smartphones are also anticipated to introduce new Galaxy AI experiences, incorporating Samsung’s Gemini AI across the UI. The devices are said to feature a multimodal image-generation model as well.
In terms of pricing, the base model of the Galaxy S25 is expected to start at Rs 80,000, the Galaxy S25 Plus is likely to have a starting price of Rs 1,00,000, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra is projected to cost approximately Rs 1,30,000.
Apart from these smartphones, Samsung is also expected to showcase or possibly unveil its first extended reality (XR) virtual headset, aimed at competing with the Apple Vision Pro.
