Lenovo today launched a new tablet in India for those looking to buy a big-screen Android-powered device for listening to music and watching movies and TV series. Dubbed ‘Lenovo Tab Plus’, the latest from the company packs eight JBL-tuned speakers and has an 11-inch 90Hz LCD screen with 2K resolution and 400 nits brightness.
Powered by the Dimensity Helio G99 chipset, the tablet comes with four-matrix tweeters and four force-balanced woofers that output 26W stereo sound. In addition to being an entertainment-focused tablet, Lenovo says you can also use the device as a standalone Bluetooth speaker. You also get a personalised app volume control that can dynamically adjust the audio for the apps of your choice.
Lenovo Tab Plus also has an integrated kickstand with up to 175 degrees of viewing flexibility, which eliminates the need to separately carry stands for tablets. Unlike other tablets in the market, most of which are flat, it has an unusual design with the bottom part being thicker than the top half because of the integrated tweeters. While the top half measures 7.77mm thick, the width increases to 13.58mm at the bottom.
The IP52-rated tablet comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB that can be further expanded via microSD card and packs an 8,600mAh battery that can be charged at 45W. It has an 8MP auto-focus rear camera and another 8MP sensor on the front for video calls.
The Android tablet runs on Android 14 out of the box with the company promising two OS updates alongside four years of security patches. Lenovo Tab Plus is now available in India from Rs 22,999 and can be purchased from Lenovo.com, Lenovo Exclusive Stores, e-commerce websites and offline retail stores.
