New leak suggests iPhone SE 4 may miss out on Dynamic Island and dual cameras | Technology News

Apple is expected to announce the iPhone SE 4, its budget smartphone sometime in 2025. The smartphone maker’s upcoming affordable phone has been rumoured to bring some much-needed visual and hardware upgrades.

While several leaks and rumours in the past have hinted that the iPhone SE 4 will sport a dual camera setup in addition to a dynamic island, both of which would be a first on the iPhone SE series, a new video shared by the known tipster Majin Bu on X suggests Apple’s affordable phone may miss out on both.

As can be seen in the video above, the iPhone SE 4 may have a single rear camera accompanied by a notch on the front. However, to comply with the new EU regulation, Apple seems to be finally shifting from the lightning port to USB-C. While it can be hard to spot the notch at first, the camera placement seems to resemble the iPhone 14’s design language. Apple also seems to be packing in the new Action button.

With the iPhone SE 4, the Cupertino-based

tech giant is expected to ditch the LCD screen in favour of OLED. The leaked unit of the iPhone SE 4 is also missing the home button, so it will be interesting to see what type of biometric authentication method the phone will support.

The upcoming budget phone is also touted to support Apple Intelligence features and pack in a much larger display, but we will have to wait and see what the iPhone SE 4 will bring to the table.
