OnePlus has announced that it will be launching the OnePlus 13R, the second member of the OnePlus 13 series on January 7, 2025.
According to OnePlus, the OnePlus 13R will have a redesigned back panel with a large iconic circular camera island. It will be available in two colourways – Nebula Noir and Astral Trail, both of which are inspired by Mother Nature and come with Gorilla Glass 7i on the front and back of the phone.
The Chinese phone maker also confirmed that the OnePlus 13R will have an aluminium frame and a rear triple camera setup, which will most likely consist of a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide shooter and possibly a 50MP telephoto sensor. However, as is the case with the company’s R series devices, the upcoming phone will miss out on the Hasselblad branding.
While OnePlus is yet to reveal other hardware specifications, numerous leaks and rumours have hinted that the OnePlus 13R will have a 6.78-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen paired with Qualcomm’s last year flagship chipset – the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
If we go by a recent Geekbench listing for the model number CPH2691, it looks like the Indian variant of the OnePlus 13R will be available in both 12GB and 16GB RAM variants and come with up to 512GB storage. OnePluas also said that it’s upcoming device will be a bit thinner – measuring just 7mm and pack a slightly larger 6,000mAh battery.
Alongside the OnePlus 13 and the OnePlus 13R, the company will also unveil a new colourway for the OnePlus Buds 3 Pro and AI translation feature. OnePlus 13R is expected to be priced under Rs 45,000, but we suggest you to take this information with a grain of salt since things may change down the line.
