Oppo is all set to launch the Find X8 series in India. The company’s latest Find series phones are the world’s first devices to sport a Hasselblad-tuned dual periscope camera system that enables up to 6x optical zoom.
The Oppo Find X8 series packs a Sony LYT-600 50MP telephoto camera that offers 3x optical zoom and features Oppo’s all-new Triple Prism Fold Lens, which the company claims reduces the size and weight by up to 24 per cent and 30 per cent respectively.
It also houses a Sony IMX858 50MP periscope lens that supports up to 6x optical zoom with Optical Image Stabilisation and even lets users capture photos in 50MP, which is handy if you want to use the camera in low light conditions.
As for the primary camera, the Find X8 series has a Sony LYT-808 primary camera which Oppo says has an ‘advanced two-layer transistor pixel structure.’ The company says it achieved this by stacking the photodiode and the pixel transistor on separate layers, allowing the sensor to enhance the dynamic range, reduce noise and maximise the captured light resulting in more detailed and clearer images.
Oppo says the Find X8 camera system has a 2-DOL HDR, which captures two sets of exposure data within the same frame, boosting the dynamic range and helping click photos of fast-moving subjects. The phone also features Oppo’s HyperTone Image Engine, which helps with image clarity.
The company also introduced AI Telescope Zoom, which helps when shooting at various zoom levels from 10x to 120x. Similar to the iPhone 16 series, the Oppo Find X8 also gets a dedicated camera Quick Button.
