Samsung may have popularised foldable Android phones, but the price of these premium devices has kept enthusiasts away for years. Now, it looks like the South Korean tech giant may have realised this and is allegedly planning to launch the Galaxy Z Flip Fan Edition.
According to a recent report by SmartPrix, the Galaxy Z Flip FE was recently spotted in the GSMA database. If true, this will be the first time Samsung will be using the “Fan Edition” branding for its foldable devices.
The publication went on to say that the Galaxy Z Flip FE GSMA database has the model number SM-F761B, with ‘B’ at the end of the model representing the global version, meaning unlike the recently launched Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, it will be available for purchase everywhere.

While not much is known about the hardware, the report suggests that the Galaxy Z Flip FE will be powered by Samsung’s in-house developed Exynos 2400 SoC, but another rumour hinted that the phone could use the Exynos 2500 chipset.
As for the display, known display analyst Ross Young recently said on X that the Galaxy Z Flip FE will have the same display panel used in the Galaxy Z Flip 6 (review), which was launched last year. To give you a quick recap, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 packs an inner 6.7-inch 120Hz FHD+ AMOLED screen alongside a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED external screen.
The publication also noted that the Galaxy Z Flip FE is expected to launch sometime in mid 2025 alongside Samsung’s upcoming foldable devices, but since nothing is certain at the moment, we recommend you take this information with a grain of salt since things may change down the line.
