Samsung has finally announced that One UI 7 based on Android 15 will be rolling out for the Galaxy S24 series and older devices starting April 7. In a press release, the South Korean tech giant said One UI 7 “comes with a simple, impactful and emotive design” and that it will be available for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 on April 7.
This will expand to other devices like the Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Tab S10 and the Galaxy Tab S9 series “over the coming weeks”, but Samsung is yet to share the exact timeline on when these devices will be getting the much anticipated update.
To give you a quick recap, Samsung first unveiled One UI 7 on the Galaxy S25 series, which was launched earlier this year in January. Based on Android 15, the update brings a ton of visual changes and new features like redesigned icons, new widgets, more lock screen customisation options and the ability to access Gemini by long pressing the side button. It also includes a new feature dubbed “Now bar”, which displays iPhone-like live activities on the lockscreen.

One UI 7 will also bring some new AI powered features like AI Select, Writing Assist, Drawing Assist and Audio Eraser, but not all of these will be available on all smartphones. While Samsung is known for rolling out timely updates, this is the first time in the last few years the tech giant hasn’t updated its smartphones to the latest Android version. Here’s the list of devices that will be getting One UI 7 update in the coming weeks:
- Galaxy S24
- Galaxy S24 Plus
- Galaxy S24 Ultra
- Galaxy S24 FE
- Galaxy S23
- Galaxy S23 Plus
- Galaxy S23 Ultra
- Galaxy S23 FE
- Galaxy Z Flip 6
- Galaxy Z Fold 6
- Galaxy Z Flip 5
- Galaxy Z Fold 5
- Galaxy Tab S10 Plus
- Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra

Several Samsung phones launched in the last couple of years like the Galaxy S22 series offers 4 years of OS updates, so if your phone is not on the list, you may have to wait anywhere between a couple of weeks to a few months to get the One UI 7 update.
