Sennheiser, a popular company in the audio industry today launched Profile Wireless, a new flexible wireless microphone system that can be used in a wide range of situations. Designed with creators and videographers in mind, the company says the wireless audio microphones can be used as a clip-on mic as well as handheld and tabletop modes.
The two-channel system features a multitude of connectivity options and can be easily connected to mobile phones, computers and cameras. Sennheiser Profile Wireless also comes with a multifunctional charging bar that acts as a storage device for a two-channel mini receiver with an OLED touch screen, two pre-paired clip-on microphones that automatically connect to the receiver, an adapter to connect the receiver to a mobile phone or camera cold show mount as well as magnetic clips that lets users attach the mic to clothes.
The multifunctional charging bar can also be used as a handheld or desktop mic. Sennheiser’s Profile Wireless audio multi-toolkit has a range of up to 245 meters with each clip-on wireless microphone having 16GB of onboard storage, which the company says can record up to 30 hours of audio at 24-bit/48kHz quality and can be used even while recharging.
To protect your audio recordings, Sennheiser says it is using a Backup Recording Mode that automatically enables internal recording when Wi-Fi signals are weak or low. It even features a Safety Channel Mode which can record audio at a lesser quality to prevent clipping and “enhance the dynamic range of the capsule.”
Profile Wireless connects using a 2.4GHz network and has an integrated handheld option with a battery of 15 hours. Some usability features include an auto-rotating receiver display and different mounting options. Sennheiser Profile Wireless will be launching next year for Rs 29,900.
