Xiaomi 15 Ultra with Leica photography kit coming to India on March 11 | Technology News


On Sunday, Xiaomi unveiled its latest flagship smartphones—the Xiaomi 15 and the Xiaomi 15 Ultra—at the ongoing MWC 2025. The company has now confirmed that both devices will be officially launched in India on March 11.

In Europe, the Xiaomi 15 is priced at €999 (approx Rs 90,799) for the base model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while the Xiaomi 15 Ultra costs €1,499 (approx Rs 1,36,220) and offers 16GB of RAM with 512GB of internal storage. Additionally, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra Photography Kit Legend Edition is available for €199 (approx Rs 18,083).

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is positioned as a camera-centric Android flagship, featuring a 23mm-equivalent Leica 1-inch main camera with a 50MP Sony LYT-900 image sensor. It is topped with a Leica Summilux optical lens, boasting an ƒ/1.63 aperture and 14EV high dynamic range. The phone also includes a 100mm Leica 200MP ultra-telephoto camera with a periscope zoom lens, a 14mm 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 70mm 50MP floating telephoto zoom lens.

The device sports a 6.73-inch WQHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an embedded ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

When paired with the Xiaomi 15 Ultra Photography Kit Legend Edition (sold separately), the device gains a 67mm filter adapter ring, detachable thumb support, shutter buttons, and an integrated 2,000mAh battery.
The Xiaomi 15 also boasts a Leica-tuned triple-camera setup with a 14mm ultra-wide-angle lens and a 60mm 50MP floating telephoto lens. It features a 6.36-inch 1.5K resolution display and supports video recording at up to 8K 30fps or 4K 60fps in Dolby Vision format.

Both devices are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra offers 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, while the base variant of the Xiaomi 15 comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is equipped with a 5,410mAh battery supporting 90W HyperCharge and 80W wireless HyperCharge, while the Xiaomi 15 has a 5,240mAh battery with 90W HyperCharge and 50W wireless charging.

Both smartphones run on Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0 and will receive four major Android OS upgrades along with six years of security updates.
